President-elect Rodrigo Duterte is set to fly out of Davao City for the first time since the May 9 elections to attend thanksgiving party in Cebu Wednesday night (June 8), as indicated by a report circulated on GMA News television's "Balitanghali."

However, individuals from the media who are seeking after a chance to meet the feisty politiko outside his turf are in for a mistake as his colleague, approaching Presidential Administration Staff chief Christopher "Bong" Go said he won't confront the press anytime of his trip.

GMA News said the victory party in Cebu is sorted out by Duterte's supporters. It is still indistinct to what extent he will stay in the city.

Duterte cleared the presidential race in vote-rich Cebu, earning more than 1.1 million votes.

The President-elect has been boycotting the media since Saturday (June 4), after he experienced harsh criticism for his disputable comments on media killings and went on a tirade against defilement in the business.

Individuals from the media, except for the state-run Individuals' Broadcasting company (PTV), were banished from recording live video footage amid his "Du31" triumph party in Crocodile Stop that day. They were rather requested that telecast the material recorded by PTV.
